plans vs reality

Some weeks just don’t turn out like you think they will, right, Subscriber First Name? There were no big surprises for me, but I simply thought I’d have more time.

My spouse and I, as an 8 and 7 respectively, often admonish one another, “Babe, you can’t do it all.” We tell each other that because we Aggressive Stance types (3,7,8) desperately need the reminder. Additionally, our vices are Lust (8) and Gluttony (7). Sheesh. What a pair.

As we age together, he and I are getting better at recognizing our own limits and respecting them, but we never lose our personality. Our motivation remains. Hence, we’re always doing a bit of dance on that sliding scale of health. The only constant is change!

If you also find time to be short right now, please enjoy this 20-minute yoga practice! I barely talk, and the class is simply a basic strength and stretch class. You may not be in the mood, but you know what? I wasn’t either when I recorded this! (There’s a nice action cameo by our dogs as well, that you may have glimpsed on Instagram.)

If you’re in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area or know people who are, I will be teaching a Yenneagram Intro workshop on Saturday November 6. (details to come) That day-long course is entry-level Enneagram, so it is mostly information sharing. However, as I teach all of the 9 types, we briefly move into the yoga poses I’ve assigned to represent each number. It’s a great kinesthetic learning tool, and I find it also helps us all sense how it might physically feel to be each type.
