Be With What Arises

There’s a lot going on in this week’s class, Subscriber First Name.

First, you may notice my shirt. It’s one of my faves, and it’s from a Cloud Cult concert. As I mentioned last week, I’ve been pairing their songs with Enneagram types on Facebook. My goal is to highlight how we can all resonate with underlying struggles and desires of every type. Additionally, the music is spiritually moving, and I hope you enjoy it.

Secondly, I offer perhaps the briefest definition ever of ancient Greek Stoicism prior to this class. There are correlations between that philosophy and how we aim to practice yoga. (I just purchased the book Lives of the Stoics by Ryan Holiday and will let you know if it could be helpful in Enneagram growth.)

Finally, I pulled my block out for this practice! I offer some ways it can support you during your practice. (And FYI, I picked up this block for cheap at one of those famous discount department stores. Keep your eyes peeled!)

I also recorded a brief vid on how to use 2 chairs to support you in a “headstand” that puts zero weight on your head. I’ll post that early next week.

This week’s class was recorded during a time of much rain as well as my second Covid vaccine (Yay!), so if you think I look a little ragged, or kind of like I don’t care about my appearance, you’d be right. Frizzy hair don’t care. Freedom!
