balanceThe keys to enneagram work are noticing, accepting, and choosing our responses. None of that is easy (or perhaps even possible at all) if we don’t slow down from time to time. Something I’ve learned over the years is that I (7) have the power to curate my environment in a way that helps me access my 5 space. In preparing for my workshop this week, I spent multiple days with wordless music filling my living room. The area was clean and ordered, except for my own notes spread out on the coffee table. I was the only human around. All notifications on devices were off. I need to spend time in this energetic realm, because it allows my normally bird-like mind, flitting about from here to there on a dime, to focus a laser beam on one single project. When I emerge from that place, I feel proud of myself, settled, and ready for action! In this week’s video I talk about how we can even look to the cells of our body for inspiration on balance.
