Luna would love to meet you, Subscriber First Name. But hey—if you’re not a dog person, I get it. For a moment, think about whatever little being does melt your heart. Then consider how much love attention you pour into the support of that beautiful soul. Now . . . ask yourself how you speak to and affirm yourself. If there’s not a correlation, consider taking action to become your own best friend. Trust me, I’m working on this alongside you. In this week’s video I try to verbalize how I’ve seen my rescue dog change in the year that I’ve had her. How affection and consistent discipline have made her feel safe and relaxed. She knows I’m there for her, no matter what. How could I grow/change and better moderate my personality quirks if I were so accepting of and patient with myself? Join me and Luna for a 35-minute yin yoga session. (Click on the photo above and log in.) Bring some props to support yourself: a pillow, a strap or long towel, and maybe a blanket. All stretches are done while sitting or laying down. Take a moment to consciously choose rest, turn off all distractions, and show your perfectly imperfect self some love.
